Dear Shep,
We are sleep training (day two) so that you will stop eating every two hours and napping every hour – leaving us both exhausted. You are such a stubborn one just like me and Papa Shep. Now that I have this figured out for the umpteenth time, I think we are both getting the hang of it. This way, we can have more adventures out of the house and I can get you that zoo membership I promised and possibly lunch with a friend here and there? I know, I know….baby steps Mommy.
You had an adventure in your hanging jumper this morning with Daddy and me. You loved it for about 10 minutes, then quickly let me know that you were NOT having that strange toy any longer. You are siting up on our bellies in the morning, and we are letting you have ten minutes a day to watch The Very Hungry Caterpillar. You LOVE it, but I have to admit I love the quiet moment to get a few things done……..you know, to shower or get crazy and do the dishes.
You still aren’t rolling over, but Daddy and I swear it’s because you hate being on your tummy. Why on Earth would you want to roll that way? It’s not like I am baking pies every day. I could, yes, but I am not a fan so I choose not to. You laugh at Daddy and his silly faces the moment he gets home. I try to get giggles all day long, but are stingier with them when it comes to me. That’s okay, because when I finally get one it makes my week!
I’m so thankful for your smiles, giggles, and the insurmountable joy that you bring to each and every day.
Xx Mommy
