Dear Shep,

Today was mommy’s first day finally feeling back to herself. The last few days of being “sick” and being stuck inside with the dark skies ruining our chance of a walk or errand run left me feeling absolutely desperate to get outside when I saw how clear the sky was when we woke up. To thank your Honey and Dece for their help over the past few days, I decided to bring you by their works to get some sugar. Dece couldn’t play bc she had meetings, but Honey (who you’ve never visited at work until today) was thrilled at the idea. Your usual 45 minute nap became an almost 3 hour nap so we arrived late, but you were looking dapper as usual in your chambray shirt that matched mine – I swear it wasn’t intentional, but boy were we a cute pair. Those ladies loved you! We spent an hour roaming up and down the halls of the Haskell Slaughter Law Office letting each lady hold and love on you as they assured us that you were in fact, the cutest baby they’d ever seen. I always nod and say “thank you” knowing their is no need for them to confirm what I already know. Bad mommy jokes aside, you make your Honey’s Day, and that makes my day knowing how much joy you bring into the lives of those who love you (and those who have the pleasure of meeting your sweet self in the hallway at work).

I snapped this of you this morning when I told you that we were going to finally get out of the house. I just cant get over that hair kiddo!

This was after a LONG car ride home. You were so sleepy (awake about 2 hours longer than you usually make it) and you were full of snuggles. Terrible quality, but  I wasn’t about to use the flash and wake you up Xx

You’re out cold and I’ve sent Daddy for Subway. Dream big, I know…..
