Dear Shep,

It’s true! You’re talking. You are saying words and I’m loving it. Nothing has been in context (and when it has it wasn’t intentional) but man oh man your little voice is just the cutest thing ever. The first was “Go”. I always say “ready to go?” when I get you out of your car seat and I was almost certain you said “Go” when I opened the door the morning of the 15th. That night you started chanting “go, go, go” and it was so exciting! Daddy heard you do it the very next day, and by the 19th you had added “bye bye” to the list of words. We were having your breakfast in bed and you rolled over and started saying “Bye Bye” over and over again. “Dada” started today and so help me if you use those 4 letters in context before you at least attempt to even murmur “Mama” I’ll crawl in a hole and pout for days. Keep it up my little Einstein. It’s nothing short of ordinary for you to start something late, then school all of the other kiddos your age by lapping those fools moments later. At this rate you should be saying “Mama you are my jam” by Friday and yes, I know I am…..
