Dear Shep,
You had the best Easter this year! Honey was visiting Papa Bear, but was sure to leave you with a Happy Easter card and a gift card for a family dinner out which we used at Pablo’s on the patio and had a fun family date night a few days before Easter!
On Easter Sunday, you woke up to bunny shaped pancakes and milk from your new bunny cup from Mommy and Daddy. The Easter Bunny left you so many goodies it took you the entire day to take it all in. You got bedtime lotion, wooden colored pencils, a sippy cup holder, clothes, 4 books, snacks, a sprinkler toy, a new float for the pool, and a stuffed bunny that your Mommy knit her fingers numb making. All of that and not one ball!
After church, we went to Dece and Shep’s for a wonderful lunch where you devoured the squash casserole and talked to your food in true Sheppard style. We had “ball” cake that Dece made especially for you, then took off on an Easter Egg hunt in the front yard with your brand new pull wagon that doubled as your basket from Dece and Shep. The wagon was full of bubbles, windmills, cheddar bunnies, and balls! Light up balls, bouncy balls, and easter eggs galore. Leave it to the Easter Bunny to have you the perfect goodies at that house! What was he thinking not leaving you any balls at our house? You were so proud of yourself for putting eggs from the yard in your wagon and you cheered for yourself after we did each and every time.
Because Daddy and I had a tiny stomach bug, you stayed at Dece and Shep’s for your afternoon nap while we headed home and napped here to rest up for more adventures with you. What a fun day! What a blessing that we had the beautiful weather and the fellowship around us to celebrate that Jesus is alive! Please don’t ever forget why we celebrate Easter. Jesus was the perfect lamb and the ultimate sacrifice for our sins. How wonderful that we will have an eternal life with Jesus bc of His great sacrifice and suffering! Glory to God!!!!
I love you my little bunny rabbit,
Mommy Xx
