YOU READ MY LETTER!!!!!!! Seriously! You slept five hours straight two nights ago and 6 last night! I’m a new woman!!!! I feel like I need to stop and thank you for it every second of every day bc it truly changed my life. I know…..so much drama…..but I havent slept over 2 hours straight in three months so this is insanely wonderful! THANK YOU

Okay……on to the updates that matter to you! This month we celebrated Thanksgiving and got ready for Christmas. Thanksgiving was spent at Shep and Dece’s with Dece’s always beautiful spread and ambiance and we just soaked it all in even more having you around this year. You’re getting a little fussier in the evenings now that you’re settling in on a bed time, so that made the meal a little less structured, but you were held by nearly everyone in shifts and we really had so much to be thankful for in those moments. We’re so happy you’re here with us this year! It’s made celebrating the holidays even more special than we imagined.

Christmas season arriving also meant a lot of my favorite things. First up on the agenda, PHOTOS WITH SANTA. August you NAILED IT! Your brothers gave me a Christmas miracle and River didn’t even cry. So when you sat there without fussing too? I CRIED! No, seriously I got misty and just had this maternal out of body experience where I hovered over my own body with this super Denise Sheppard smirk like “Oh this is happening right now…..it’s so happening”. Needless to say, I ordered the print and broadcast it on social media within seconds. I mean, we left to get a tree right after (my usual favorite) and it was just EH bc I couldn’t stop basking in the glow of my parental win for my life. Okay, I’ll leave the santa thing behind and keep going, but just be sure and get the point at how stinking happy you three made me……

The tree. We got the fancy one I hated we missed out on last year and headed home some fresh garland to top it all off. It was perfect. The day was magical, and we all napped like champs should after such a perfect day. I just love having you here for all of this. Happy first Christmas love!

You’re still sleeping in our room at night (which I love – I told Daddy good luck getting you out of here anytime soon) and making mornings pretty precious waking up to your smile. Daddy started working from home this month and we are so excited to have him here over the holidays (maybe longer?). Baths are becoming one of your very favorite things and your brothers are your favorite things to look at. They walk into a room and you immediately give them your fullest attention! AND DONT FORGET YOUR FIRST SNOW! Head a post back for all of the goods on that. What an adventure!!!!!! And what a trooper you were! You really showed off your accommodating temperament to not fuss as I kept you in the freezing air for the sake of a few hundred photos.
